An esteemed High Net Worth client in Qatar is seeking an experienced External Relations Officer to oversee and manage in luxury hospitality properties.

About Role:

External Relations Officer is responsible for enhancing and safeguarding the reputation of the organisation. The role holder is responsible for managing communications with key external stakeholders which involves responding to inquiries, drafting stories, writing copy, and repurposing content for different communication channels. The incumbent is responsible for distilling complex information into concise and impactful key messages and crafting accurate and compelling statements tailored for senior management communications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop a robust and structured external relations annual plan to enhance relationship quality between the organisation and key external stakeholders.
• Identify and draft positive news stories originating from within the organisation to bolster the organisation’s reputation. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of external relations programs to assess the efficiency of the programs.
• Support the organisational initiatives by creating a communication plan for external stakeholders and ensure consistent communication with key external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain a productive relationship with external stakeholders
• Provide support to the senior management team on external communications needs/opportunities.
• Supervise media filming and ensure appropriate consent is taken from the respective stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external suppliers such as PR agencies as required to ensure that all materials are accurate, engaging, and aligned with the overall communication strategy.
• Conduct identification, analysis, and assessment of the social condition which includes culture and external situation to prevent and mitigate potential disruptions.
• Conduct mitigation initiatives and problem-solving to prevent potential conflicts with external stakeholders.
• Reassure, guide, and communicate clearly and effectively in response to crises or emergencies.
• Implement events and initiatives to boost external stakeholder engagement and reinforce the company’s culture.
• Provide the progress work status to the respective reporting head and Management as required.
• Perform other special duties and projects as needed in support of organisational goals.
• Demonstrates creativity and a keen eye for details.
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
• Effective influencing skills.

Desired Skill(s) & Competencies:

• Knowledge of external media environment.
• Familiarity with creative external relations ide.a
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Familiarity with a variety of communication materials.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Demonstrates good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications / Public Relations.
• At least 3 years of experience as an External Relations Team Member in hospitality or related industry.
