An esteemed High Net Worth client in Qatar is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee and manage luxury hospitality properties.

About Role:

Facility Manager is responsible for maintaining a clean, pleasant, and operational facility. The role holder oversees maintenance tasks and ensures the facility is well-maintained and compliant with regulations. The incumbent works collaboratively with other departments to ensure the efficient delivery of tasks and the implementation of improvements as necessary. Facility Manager is accountable for managing routine inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, in addition to his role in Housekeeping and Hospitality, maintaining records, and coordinating renovations and updates.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily activities of the facility, including maintenance and operations across all departments within the facility, to ensure each department delivers a consistently high standard of guest service.
  • Supervise engineering, hospitality, and housekeeping departments for the smooth operation of the facility.
  • Manage the facility effectively to enhance users satisfaction and minimise complaints.
  • Manage installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management.
  • Implement necessary action plans to ensure facility operations comply with regulations.
  • Supervise and manage all facility contractors, identifying areas for improvement to meet safety standards and regulations.
  • Assist in creating and managing budgets and expenses for facility maintenance and operations, while finding cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitor inventory levels of materials and equipment required for facility management and communicate any deviations to the concerned department.
  • Conduct regular facility checks to ensure compliance with departmental SOPs fs and recommend relevant control measures.
  • Review all relevant reports on significant repairs, failures, snag reports, incident and accident reports, and thoroughly examine these reports to understand the situation comprehensively.
  • Randomly examine the stores of the respective department to ensure optimum stock of supplies of the individual department.
  • Review the execution of routine and preventive maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Perform managerial functions at the level established by the management for the position.
  • Hire, train, encourage, coach, and assess team performance while offering constructive feedback and training opportunities.
  • As required, provide the progress work status to the respective reporting head and Management.
  • Perform other special duties and projects as needed in support of organisational goals.

Desired Skils & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems within buildings.
  • Familiarity with the regulations related to facility management, safety codes, and environmental standards.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols.
  • Familiar with Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems, Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
  • Good knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is essential for understanding technical manuals.
  • Proficient communication abilities.
  • Displays adaptability in an ever-changing environment.
  • Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on field experience in Facilities Management is preferred.
  • Experience & knowledge of managing operations of the Food and Beverage Services department.
  • Hands on experience in managing operations of housekeeping.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Related Facilities Management Course.
  • Professional certification like CFM is preferable.
  • Hotel Management Administration.
  • At least 15 years of experience in Facility Management, with at least 5 years as a Facility Manager in the hospitality or related industry.
